Analogue Black & White Film Printing with Sam Oster
Learn how to print B&W negatives in the darkroom. Create your own B&W contact sheet plus 8×10” enlargements.
Sunday 13th April, 10.00am - 5.00pm
This workshop introduces participants to B&W film printing. Discover (or revisit) the magical experience of seeing a print come to life in the red safelights of the traditional darkroom (in a converted vintage caravan). We will create a contact sheet of positives (a proof sheet) and select our favourite image for enlargements. Take home hand-printed 8×10” prints of your own work.
Workshop includes B&W Photographic Paper (8×10”) and all chemistry, equipment and consumables. An apron will be provided. Includes tea, coffee & biscuits.
Pack a notebook & pen, and a light lunch (very basic kitchen facilities available). Please wear comfortable clothing suitable to the weather and to potential chemical staining (aprons are provided), and close-toed shoes are essential.
