With over two decades of experience, Seen Studio, formerly known as Treasured Memories Photography, has evolved under the guidance of Principal Photographer Peta Grace. Peta acquired the original studio in 2006 and, in late 2023, rebranded to reflect a broader spectrum of services, embracing the digital marketing era. Her passion lies in capturing the raw emotion and energy of live performances, a commitment evident in her role as the official photographer for the Primary Schools Music Festival since 2019. Peta’s dedication to her craft is driven by a desire to preserve meaningful moments for her clients, creating cherished memories that last a lifetime.

What made you decide to become a freelance creative? What drives you to create the work you do?

Ultimately I became a freelance photographer after working many years for others, and having business owner friends that kept telling me I could do it. So I did. The type of work I am passionate about, found me, it is a part of my lifestyle and passion

What are your hobbies outside of your freelance work? What are you willing to share about who you are?

The gym, building, animals and my kids. I am a mother of 4 children who lives in the beautiful Adelaide Hills. Country girl at heart.

What made you decide to join a co-working studio? What do you like most about working from Cog?

Beyond her professional endeavors, Peta enjoys engaging with the local community and exploring creative collaborations within the Cog Creative Space. Her decision to join this co-working studio stems from a belief in the power of collective creativity and the inspiration drawn from like-minded individuals. Peta finds joy in the dynamic environment of Cog, where artistic energy and shared passion fuel her creative process.

What is the project you are most proud of so far?

Apart from being Theatre Bugs resident photographer for almost 2 decades and amongst her many projects, Peta takes immense pride in her work with the Primary Schools Music Festival. In 2021, she led a team to photograph 6,000 children over four concerts at Adelaide’s Entertainment Centre, capturing both individual portraits and live performances. This monumental achievement stands as a testament to her expertise and dedication to her craft.
