Midwest Trader shoot at watermark Crossing with photographer Shaun Li

Midwest Trader fashion shoot with shaun li

Watermark Crossing was used as a location for this fashion shoot by Adelaide-based photographer Shaun Li. Here are some behind-the-scenes shots from a really fun day!

Shaun Li from Capture The Present is a commercial photographer based in Adelaide, and he wanted to use Watermark Crossing for a shoot that would utilise the interesting interior and exterior qualities of the studio. He worked with two of his regular muses – musician Mason Lloyde, and actor Sarah Jeavons. The outfits were curated by the owner of Adelaide’s Midwest Trader, to select outfits that highlight the style and range of the clothing available at the store, that also complement the style of the studio.

The shoot was a lot of fun! As an actor, Sarah liked the idea of creating characters in a scenario and that led to a lot of inspiration for props and setups across the day. Shaun used the available light as a base for his lighting, and then set up accent and key lights to create drama. He used Profoto lighting both indoors and out, often placing the key light outside the side windows to mimic directional sunlight.

Thanks team for an awesome day; it was really interesting to see how the space was used for this interesting shoot.
