Watermark Crossing Darkroom
Our darkroom ‘The Tintype Traveller’ is available for hire for people who can work independently and provide their own chemicals and paper. We do have chemicals available if necessary and can provide costs on request.
Our darkroom is in a converted vintage caravan. The darkroom has the following facilities:
- Professional darkroom ventilation via 3 extraction fans and 2 inlet vents.
- Built-in aircon with heating and cooling,
- Running water (rainwater)
- Space for 1-3 people to work independently – so you are welcome to book for more than 1 person to share costs.
Before you hire the darkroom you will need to do a darkroom induction and agree to safety terms and conditions. Please note that we run on rainwater so please be water-wise with your washing times.
Darkroom hire includes arrival and bump-in/setup time so please select accordingly to suit the needs of your project.

The darkroom is suitable for 1-2 people ideally, but we do have room for 3 enlargers should you want to work with up to 3 people. Please do not book last-minute as we will need to make sure a host is available to provide access and a darkroom safety induction.
