Book our Watermark Crossing studio & Darkroom
Our studio is ideal for Adelaide Hills studio shoots if the client or photographer is hills-based and doesn’t want to commute to the city for their shoot. The space is extremely versatile and can be used as a ‘white cube’ with a large white wall and floor, or as an interesting space for environmental portraits. We have a huge variety of paper backdrop colours available (brought in on request from our Norwood studio) as well as textured canvas backdrops if you are looking for something interesting.
Lighting can be hired if needed. The studio does come with 2 x flash units (400W) that are ceiling-mounted for still photography (if needed), but you will need supplementary lights for the subject. If you are shooting video you will need to supply your own or hire our professional quality continuous LED lighting (available from our city studio) – but we do have a 100W LED on-site (useful for event lighting if needed).
Watermark Crossing provides something really special and unique for content creators, photographers, videographers and presenters. People love the vibe of both the location, nestled amongst the trees and set in a beautiful historic township, and the space itself which is eclectic and interesting with very high ceilings and vintage doors and windows. Studio & Darkroom spaces
The studio area is a large open space 11m x 9m, with a variety of areas for photo shoots and events. Our main darkroom is in a converted vintage caravan parked nearby, and we also have a private darkroom in a converted cubby on the property. Watermark Crossing is set up as a workshop facility for photography and other creative process workshops.
We welcome bookings for small group workshops and artist-in-residence bookings for short or longer term hire. Please get in touch if you want to discuss your project or ideas.
WORKSHOP & EVENT spaces
Watermark Crossing is well set up as a workshop facility for photography and other creative process workshops, and allied activities for small groups. The interior space is 11m x 9m, and there are lovely outdoor areas for supplementary activities as well (weather permitting).
We welcome enquiries for small group workshops (5 – 15 / 20 recommended but more may be accommodated for short duration events on request). Please note that we do not have suitable facilities or approval for large groups. Please get in touch if you want to discuss your project or ideas.
